Couronne (Crown, Fr) Company, Inc. emerged in Europe over fourteen years ago and moved into the US market with vast success. Couronne Company originated with a single product - Water Gems, a water based gel used with fresh cut flowers and plants. Responding to an increase in customer requests, Couronne shifted its product line to include glassware. It is this glassware line that has since become the primary product for the company. While Spanish recycled glassware had long been the company’s primary focus, a recent change in product requests has led Couronne Company to develop a new glassware collection out of China. This new product line debuted in January 2005 at the International Gift & Home Furnishings Market in Atlanta, GA. In addition to this, Couronne Company Inc. also has a strong line of metal accents. This product line includes wall sconces, tabletop stands, etc. in which all metal designs are paired with glassware products. All product lines are in continuous development with new pieces coming out every season.

Items are never touched until they are completed and cooled. The semi-automatic method uses machines and human hands. The machine forms the mold and human hands assist in the more decorative aspects of the piece. Hand or mouth blown items are the most unique because glass artists spend years fine tuning their craft and may never create two identical pieces. Variations are often found in items produced by these methods.
