Heat
Bands |
| What are heat bands?
|
| Heat bands, are a band of PVC
plastic that fits around the cap and neck of a bottle or jar. The
plastic heat band not only holds the cap in place, but ensures that the
product has not been opened or tampered with. This plastic must then be
torn and removed to open the bottle or jar. Once the heat band has been
removed it is not possible to reapply the used
band. |

What size heat bands do I need?
|
| Each glass bottle or
jar will show the correct size heat band needed for a perfect fit. To
find the corresponding heat band size for an item, find the item on our
website and look in the information section on the right side of its
page. You will see the appropriate sized heat band listed in the
"Accessories" section (ex. H55/38). The first number corresponds to the
width in millimeters of the heat band. The second number shows the
height in millimeters of the heat
band. |

| How do I apply heat bands?
|
|
| 1. Select the correct size heat band for your product
(Each product identifies the correct heat band size needed in its
"accessories" description located to the right of the product image).
Slide the heat band over the neck of the bottle, leaving enough room at
the top for the heat band to form to the cork, screw cap, or other
appropriate top. |
| 2. Apply heat evenly with a heat gun or hair dryer until
the heat band has shrunk tightly around the neck of the bottle giving
you a snug tamper evident seal in just
seconds. |
